Charla Stevens Consulting provides a variety of training to fit your workplace needs including anti-harassment and workplace civility training, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training, and comprehensive supervisory training for both new and experienced managers. We also provide one-on-one training and coaching for employees or managers who need a more focused refresher or are in need of individualized accountability. 

Working with independent schools and colleges and universities, we provide training on school and student safety, employee reporting obligations, and maintaining appropriate boundaries among staff and between staff and students. 

Workplace Training Programs

Supervisory Training

This comprehensive training package can be adapted to meet the needs of your company or school. It can be given to your management team or group of designated supervisors. Participants will receive an overview of the laws relevant to the workplace including antidiscrimination, wage and hour, leaves of absence, and best practices for interviewing, hiring, performance evaluation, discipline, and termination. It can be conducted in full day or half day sessions, virtually or in person and can be tailored to new or experienced managers.  

Non-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment & Diversity Training

The standards for an effective anti-harassment and diversity training have drastically changed since the advent of the #MeToo movement.  Online trainings are not only insufficient to meet legal obligations, they are not effective in changing behavior.  This program covers the myriad of anti-discrimination laws and incorporates workplace civility, bystander intervention, and focuses on eliminating toxic behavior. This session is tailored to your industry and is interactive with the use of hypothetical scenarios and roleplay.  

HR Bootcamp

This training is a must for the controller, CFO, business owner or other manager who has been assigned human resource functions but may not have human resources management experience or training. In our sessions you will be provided an overview of practical guidelines and issue spotting regarding this complex area of business management from hiring through firing including the performance evaluation process. This half-day, interactive session uses real life examples that directly corolate to your business.
